About
Matias Zarembka
I'm Matias Zarembka, a 19-year-old sophomore at the University of Maryland studying in Letters & Sciences, intending to major in Finance with an Economics minor.
Outside class, I run a software company, build and operate a youth-soccer training platform, handle digital operations for two soccer businesses, and manage my own long-term portfolio with written rules. Before all of that, I spent years in competitive soccer, as a player and then as a youth coach.

How the pieces connect
Soccer, software, operating, and finance
01
Soccer came first
Years of competitive club and high school soccer, then coaching U7 teams, gave me a close look at how soccer organizations actually run: registration, scheduling, communication with families, and the gap between team training and individual development.
02
Software became the way I solve problems
When I saw those problems up close, I started building fixes: booking and payment systems, registration pipelines, a mobile training platform. Zarembka Software Engineering grew out of doing that work for real clients.
03
Operating taught me what the numbers mean
Running digital operations for real businesses means dealing with pricing, sign-ups, payments and reporting every week. It's where revenue, costs and growth stopped being abstract.
04
Finance is the framework
Finance is how I connect it all: how I evaluate a business, value a company, think about risk, and decide where capital, mine included, should go. The research, models and portfolio work on this site are me practicing that discipline in the open.
Principles
How I try to work
Build before talking about it
Every project on this site is live, in use, or documented with its actual result.
Measure results
Products are judged by usage, strategies by realized returns, and both are recorded, not remembered.
Allocate capital deliberately
Target weights, ranges and written rationale before money moves.
Test before trusting
Quantis was backtested across bull, bear and choppy markets, and paper-traded alongside a live account, before I relied on it.
Keep systems simple
Start with the simplest thing that works: a spreadsheet the client already uses, an index fund at the core of a portfolio.
Compete consistently
Soccer taught me that steady preparation beats occasional intensity.
